Saint Hilary School of English offers international schools and colleges a programme of talks and visits concerning aspects of English Society here in the South West of England.
Our Theme concentrates on the various comparisons a student may make when considering such topics as

The historical importance of our area in the South West of England is represented in our programme of visits:
The Old Roman City of Exeter ( Cathedral City and commercial capital of Devon ).
Plymouth and the Barbican ( Most Historic Port in the U.K. with reference to Sir Francis Drake and The Pilgrim Fathers ).
Historic Torre Abbey ( One of Torbay's oldest historic buildings and home to Agatha Christie's Memorial Room ).
Dartmoor ( One of England's most popular National Parks - Dartmoor Prison - Conan Doyle's, "The Hound of the
Baskervilles" ).
Morwellham Quay ( 19th Century Copper Mine with associated local history - guided visits on site - archaeology, period-costume, history, crafts and nature ).
The Eden Project - only available for 6 days/5 nights (A visit to Britain's most unique attraction, consisting of a global exploration of worldwide tropical plants affecting our everyday life).
A detailed talk on the English Education System will enable students to make similar comparisons with their own countries.
Our Programme English Life is designed to give the international student a clearer understanding of the various aspects which make up our society here in the South West of England.
Guided Visits and Talks are made by qualified members of our staff who have also had years of experience as teachers of TEFL.

English Life is available for Groups from September to end of June and
consists of 4 days and 3 nights accommodation, 5 days and 4 nights accommodation OR 6 days and 5 nights accommodation. Minimum group numbers
